You may have heard the quote "you have to crawl before you walk", this is true but what does it really mean? It just means you have to start with the basics. Just like the foundation of a building has to be laid before you can build the structure,an infant must first learn to crawl before it can walk...and even in the learning processes of crawling and walking he or she will experience struggles and setbacks until more practice has been done to perfect the skills. There will be tumbles, slips, and even falls in the process of learning to crawl then walk. It is the natural occurrance of how things progress in the physical and mental developmental phases.
So let's apply these examples to reaching your goals an creating the dream life you would like to live. When you have a dream in mind this is the best place that you can be. At this point you can daydream or meditate and see yourself where you would like to be doing the things you would like to do. Taking time to feel the good emotions that go along with the experiences you desire will help to motivate you and propel you along to the right paths to reach your goals. It is important to tune your mind to the good things and the positive things about the goals/dreams and to distract yourself from the things that might cause you to fear or doubt your abilities. Hope, faith, belief, determination are all things you need to reach your goals.
Just like the infant had to reach, push, and sometimes tumble and roll in the process of learning to crawl, there will likely be times that you will have to regroup, reset, reassess, and reevaluate your plan and how you can improve as you move towards your goals. Things take time and you must give yourself the support and time that it takes to get better at the things you do. Getting in a rush will only cause more frustration and can lead to mistakes that make you have to start all over again.
